Purpose of the role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Learning & Development Partner to join our HR Support Services team at our Head Office in Solihull, B37 7YB. The role involves delivering training strategies, ensuring compliance, and supporting the growth of our people across all levels. UK travel is required. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape learning at Colas, working with internal and external stakeholders to build capabilities and support career development.
Main Responsibilities
* Identify and prioritize training needs with business leaders.
* Coordinate daily training requests and maintain accurate training records.
* Support the implementation of the L&D strategy in collaboration with the Talent Development Manager.
* Design and deliver bespoke leadership and management development programs.
* Evaluate training effectiveness for ROI and ROE assessments.
* Manage relationships with training providers, including contract and SLA negotiations.
* Support apprenticeship and graduate programs, including recruitment and onboarding.
* Assist with audits and training budget reviews.
* Maintain training matrices aligned with the Learning Management System.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of L&D processes, systems, and policies.
Ideal Candidate
Applicants must have a CIPD Level 3 qualification in Learning and Development and proven experience in a consultative or specialist L&D role. Strong understanding of the full learning cycle and talent development strategies is essential, along with excellent organizational and stakeholder management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems is required. Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment is necessary. Knowledge of apprenticeship schemes, funding, and industry training standards is desirable. Experience in the construction or industrial sector is a plus but not essential.
Package Description
