Full time permanent
Monday – Thursday 6am-4pm. Days only
£15.00 p/h increasing to £17.00

Are you an experienced mechanical fitter with looking for their next challenging role within in a secure and stable company.
As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be required to:
* Carry out mechanical fitting, maintenance and refurbishment on rail vehicles and associated components
* Work from engineering drawings and technical documentation to complete mechanical assemblies and repairs
* Inspect, strip, repair and reassemble rail components to a high standard
* Work safely and efficiently within a workshop environment while maintaining quality standards
* Support the team with a variety of mechanical engineering tasks across rail equipment and systems
The ideal candidate will be:
* Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter, ideally within the rail or heavy engineering sector industry is desirable but not essential
* Ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
* Adaptable and able to work on a range of rail components and assemblies
