Job Description
Marie Curie is launching an innovative new service as part of a system-wide transformation of palliative and end-of-life care in Edinburgh. We need compassionate, adaptable professionals ready to deliver holistic, person-centred care in a meaningful setting. There is a 12-month fixed-term secondment opportunity for Healthcare Assistants to join the project.
This project is part of Edinburgh’s strategy to shift care from hospitals to communities. We will deliver 7 additional intermediate palliative care beds to support people who need 24/7 care, including discharge from hospital and admission from home, alongside our specialist beds.

Qualifications
* NVQ Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care (or equivalent), or willingness to work towards it.
* 6 months of care delivery experience in a Health or Social Care Environment (as part of what we look for).
* Knowledge of palliative and end-of-life care, with a nurturing and compassionate approach and excellent communication skills.
* Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Salary and Benefits
* Salary: Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale Band 2 (aligned with AFC) £25,694 - £27,900 per annum + enhancements
* Contract: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
* Based: Marie Curie Hospice, Frogston Road West EH10 7DR
