SEND Teacher
Location: Hinckley
Contract Type: Full Time, Part Time, Flexible Supply
Salary: Competitive, dependant on salary
Simply Education is seeking a Specialist Teacher to join our dedicated team, supporting pupils with Autism, Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties, Speech, Language and Communication Needs, and behavioural challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver creative, multi-sensory lessons tailored to a wide range of learning needs
* Support communication development using AAC, visual supports, and structured teaching approaches (e.g., TEACCH, PECS, Makaton)
* Implement positive behaviour support strategies and work closely with behaviour specialists
* Collaborate with therapists, support staff, and families to ensure a holistic approach to each learner's development
* Create a safe, predictable and nurturing learning environment
Ideal Candidate:
* Qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS) with experience in SEN/SEMH settings
* Strong understanding of Autism, MSLD, and SLCN, and experience managing associated behavioural needs
* Skilled in differentiating curriculum content and using specialist communication strategies
* Resilient, reflective and deeply committed to pupil well-being and progress
* Able to lead or work as part of a multidisciplinary team
