Overview
Senior Assistant Technical Officer - Aseptic Services at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Closing date: 20 October 2025.
Main duties
The post holder will supervise, develop support services and implement change along with being responsible for the delivery of support activities to the aseptic service. The senior duties will be carried out in a number of areas including:
* Chemotherapy Service assisting with providing a cytotoxic reconstitution service.
* Parenteral Nutrition Service assisting with the production of adult and neonatal products.
* Intravenous Additive Service to offer an extensive range of products for both internal patients and external customers.

Person Specification
Experience
* Demonstrable experience working in a pharmacy environment
* Experience of working in a team
* Experience of dispensing prescriptions or preparation or aseptic products
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 2 Pharmacy Services or Level 2 Science Manufacturing Technician or equivalent
* Willingness to complete NVQ 3 in Pharmacy Services, Science Manufacturing Technician or equivalent
Knowledge
* Knowledge of procedures for own pharmacy area - on the job training, experience to NVQ3 or equivalent level
* Knowledge of stock control systems and storage of medication
* Knowledge of hospital pharmacy supply and discharge planning
* Able to relate to all grades of staff within a multidisciplinary team
Skills
* Clear and accurate written communication skills
* Ability to use different IT applications
* Methodical with attention to detail
* Ability to train others
