YOUR ROLE
Working Pattern: We operate 24/7 roles are available on permanent days 4 on 4 off days and permanent nights 4 on 4 off - As a Shunter Driver your primary objective is to facilitate the movement of trailers and containers within logistics yards of facilities. Your role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of the supply chain by efficiently positioning trailers for loading and unloading, as well as organising them for onward transportation. Your role is integral to maintaining the smooth operation of logistics processes and supporting the timely delivery of goods to customer.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Vehicle checks are carried out in accordance with the manufacture's handbook or maintenance schedule relevant to the vehicle being checked.
2. Ensuring vehicles, prior to departure, are correctly loaded and that the load is secured.
3. Periodic checks are to be made during the journey.
4. Ensuring the safe movement of large vehicles and trailers around the operational site.
