About The Role
Are you passionate about Health & Social Care education? Do you have the drive to lead a dynamic team and support learners in achieving their goals? Keighley College is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Course Leader for Health & Social Care to lead curriculum delivery and quality across our provision.
As Course Leader, you will oversee the planning, delivery, and quality assurance of Health & Social Care programmes from Level 1 to Level 3. You will lead a team of experienced educators, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment, while developing strong links with employers and external agencies.
What You Will Do
* Lead curriculum planning and ensure schemes of work and resources are current and effective
* Monitor student progress and lead on interventions to ensure high achievement
* Support teaching staff within the department
* Drive continuous improvement in teaching and learning standards
* Work collaboratively with the Quality and Curriculum teams to meet internal and external benchmarks
* Support the development of enrichment and work experience opportunities
* Ensure compliance with awarding body and regulatory requirement
About You
* A relevant degree and a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent)
* Experience teaching Health & Social Care in Further Education or a similar setting
* Proven leadership or course coordination experience
* A student-centred approach with a strong understanding of curriculum development and assessment strategies
* Excellent communication, organisational, and team-working skills
* Up-to-date industry knowledge and a commitment to inclusive education
