Senior Reserving Actuary - Director, UK Non-Life Insurance
We are seeking a senior reserving actuary to join WTW as a Director within our non-life insurance practice in the UK, part of the Insurance Consulting and Technology (ICT) line of business. The successful candidate will enhance our reserving practice through high-quality delivery and business development.
You will collaborate with industry leaders on client projects, thought leadership, and business growth, focusing on our market-leading reserving services. There will also be opportunities to participate in innovative projects and work closely with insurance experts worldwide.

The Role
We aim to expand our UK non-life reserving team by hiring experienced insurance practitioners capable of delivering market-leading solutions. Key responsibilities include:
1. Leading the delivery of high-quality work for a diverse client portfolio, including Lloyd’s managing agencies, multinational insurers, UK and European domestic insurers, and niche market players, collaborating with our reserving specialists.
2. Managing client engagements such as reserve reviews, process transformation & automation, methodology reviews, ResQ implementations, M&A due diligence, outsourced reserving, IFRS17, Solvency II, and independent expert roles, tailored to your experience and interests.
3. Leading projects or work streams from start to finish, overseeing results, assumptions, client communications, and supervising junior colleagues.
4. Engaging in varied client assignments that require data interpretation, applying market experience, drawing conclusions, and presenting findings creatively and technically.
5. Contributing to thought leadership initiatives, developing innovative and commercially impactful work streams, including advanced analytics and reserving transformation.
6. Supporting business development by maintaining client relationships, leading proposals, and speaking at industry events.
7. Participating in people development through mentorship, team leadership, and training sessions.
