KeyResponsibilities Patrolling&Visibility Conductregularfootandvehiclepatrolsacrossneighbourhoods,parks,towncentres,andprioritylocations. Provideavisibleandreassuringpresencetodeteranti-socialbehaviour,crime,andnuisanceactivity. Monitorhotspotsandreportemergingissuestosupervisorsandpartneragencies. CommunityEngagement Buildpositiverelationshipswithresidents,businesses,schools,andcommunitygroups. Offeradviceonsafety,crimeprevention,andlocalservices. Enforcement&Compliance EnforcerelevantlocalauthoritypowerssuchasPublicSpaceProtectionOrders(PSPOs),litteringanddogcontrolregulations,andotherenvironmentallegislation. Issuefixedpenaltynoticeswhereappropriateandinlinewithpolicy. Supportinvestigationsintoanti-socialbehaviour,environmentaloffences,andcommunitycomplaints. ProblemSolving&PartnershipWorking Workcloselywithpolice,housingproviders,youthservices,andotherpartnerstoaddresscommunitysafetyconcerns. Contributetomulti-agencyoperationstargetingcrime,disorder,andvulnerability. Assistinidentifyingrepeatissuesanddevelopinglong-termsolutions. IncidentResponse&Reporting Respondtoreportsofanti-socialbehaviour,environmentalhazards,andothercommunitysafetyissues. Recordincidentsaccuratelyusingcouncilsystemsandprovideclearwrittenreportsandstatementsasrequired. Escalatesafeguardingconcernsinlinewithstatutoryprocedures. WorkingPattern&Deployment Therolerequiresflexibility,includingeveningandweekendwork,toensurecoverageofkeycommunitysafetyhotspotsandnight-timeeconomyareas.Thestandardworkingweekis40hours,withtworestdays.
