The Opportunity
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Registered Care Manager to lead our regulated care services. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for ensuring compliance with CQC standards, managing staff and operations, and driving continuous improvement across the service. You will be joining a values-led organisation at an exciting time of growth, with the opportunity to shape service delivery and contribute to strategic development.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the day-to-day operations of the care service, ensuring safe, effective, and person-centred care
* Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations and internal quality standards
* Manage recruitment, training, supervision, and performance of care staff
* Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures
* Monitor budgets, staffing levels, and resource allocation
* Build strong relationships with customers, families, professionals, and commissioners
* Represent the service during inspections, reviews, and multi-agency meetings
* Ensure all communications and documentation are processed via Careberry and other systems
What We're Looking For
Essential:
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a care management role
* Strong understanding of CQC standards and inspection frameworks
* Proven leadership and team management skills
* Experience managing safeguarding and risk
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Proficiency in care management systems (e.g., Careberry)
* Commitment to person-centred care and ethical leadership
Desirable:
* Nursing or clinical background
* Experience in a newly registered or start-up care service
* Business development or tendering experience
* Advanced training in PBS or complex care
* Experience delivering staff training or mentoring
