TransPennine Express, working in partnership with the Transpennine Route Upgrade (TRU), is looking for a proactive and motivated Customer Communications Assistant to join our Corporate Communications team. In this exciting role, you'll help deliver the TRU communications strategy-supporting one of the largest rail infrastructure programmes in the North. Working closely with colleagues across TPE, Network Rail and The Enterprise partnership, you'll translate complex railway and timetable information into clear, engaging communications that help our customers stay informed throughout major improvement works. You'll support customer, stakeholder and colleague communications across multiple channels, contribute to social media activity, and help ensure consistent, accurate updates during planned disruption and TRU blockades. You'll also gain valuable experience attending meetings on the network and collaborating directly with frontline teams. We're looking for someone who: Has strong written and verbal communication skills Is educated to degree level Brings experience of working in a professional communications environment Can confidently handle data and produce customer-friendly information Is IT proficient and an excellent team player Ideally has some knowledge of the rail industry This is a great opportunity to play a key role in improving customer experience while being part of a transformational rail programme that will shape the future of travel across the North.
