Senior Quantity Surveyor | Flagship Construction Project

Walker & Sloan are working with an outstanding regional construction contractor to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial delivery of a flagship project in Bath.

The Role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the overall commercial management of a flagship construction project in Bath. Working alongside the Project Director and wider site team, you'll play a key role in ensuring the project is delivered profitably, while maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply-chain partners.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading the commercial delivery of the flagship construction project
* Managing procurement and subcontractor package awards
* Preparing and managing project budgets, forecasts, and CVRs
* Administering subcontract accounts, variations, and final accounts
* Identifying commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle
* Supporting programme delivery through effective cost management
* Producing accurate monthly commercial reports for senior leadership
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors
* Supporting and mentoring junior commercial team members where required
Candidate Profile
* Previous experience operating as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor environment
* Proven track record delivering major construction projects
* Strong understanding of JCT contracts and commercial management processes
* Excellent negotiation and subcontract procurement experience
* Commercially astute with strong financial and analytical skills
* Ability to build effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
* Ambitious, proactive, and capable of operating autonomously on large-scale schemes
