What you’ll be doing
Within the Construction environment, consider buying materials, managing big projects, ensuring health and safety and delivering customer care. Barratt Redrow works on circa 400 developments across the UK, on brownfield sites and on adaptations of existing buildings, such as old factories or disused hospitals. You will work under the Site Manager to assist in the management of site and learn about site management and construction, supporting targets related to health and safety, programme quality, customer care and cost.
You will be expected to:
* Ensure compliance on site with the company health and safety standards and processes, NHBC standards, building regulations, and overall quality standards
* Report activities or actions to the Site Manager that could affect health and safety, quality, customer care, or cost
* Liaise with internal departments, external suppliers and partners to ensure the build programme is achieved
* Help monitor material levels on site to minimise stock while keeping the site programme on track and labour efficiently employed
* Undertake plots to the highest standard of quality and contribute to a high standard of site presentation
* Carry out reporting of defects on IFix where applicable
* Demonstrate a positive behavioural example in health and safety, organisation, conduct, quality of work and professionalism
