We are seeking two Scientists to join our growing Bioanalysis and Biotransformation team in Hoddesdon. In this role, you will support fast‑turnaround analysis of in vitro and in vivo samples using LC–MS, contributing directly to the success of early‑stage drug discovery programmes. You will develop, optimise and troubleshoot LC–MS methods, deliver high‑quality data, and collaborate closely with project teams to drive scientific progress.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
4. Develop bioanalytical LC–MS methods for small and large molecules in discovery‑phase studies, ensuring rapid turnaround and high data quality.
5. Act as study supervisor on discovery projects, supporting scientific delivery and stakeholder communication.
6. Provide analytical support for in vitro DMPK assays, ensuring timely and accurate results.
7. Deliver troubleshooting support to resolve instrument or method-related challenges.
8. Ensure all work is conducted, documented, and reported to the highest scientific and quality standards.
Essential Requirements:
9. BSc (Hons) in Chemistry, Biochemistry or a related scientific discipline.
10. Dedicated team player with a proactive attitude.
11. Fast learner with enthusiasm for adopting new technologies and techniques.
12. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
13. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, maintaining high scientific standards.
14. Strong data interpretation, reporting and presentation skills.
15. Some hands-on laboratory experience with analytical instrumentation.
Preferred Requirements:
16. Experience developing or running LC–MS methods for small or large molecules within a CRO or pharmaceutical organisation.
17. Hands-on experience with QTOF or triple quadrupole mass spectrometers and associated software (e.g., Analyst, Sciex OS).
18. Experience in sample extraction techniques and the use of automation platforms.
19. Python coding skills for data processing or workflow automation.
20. Understanding of the drug discovery process, particularly DMPK/ADME assays.
