Automation Delivery Engineer – Workflow Automation & Integrations
Salary - £45,000
Working - 2–3 Days per Week Onsite (Birmingham)
A growing technology organisation is expanding its dedicated Automation Delivery Team and is looking for an Automation Delivery Engineer to design, build and deliver high-impact workflows, scripts and integrations across both internal systems and customer SaaS platforms.
This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role where you’ll turn manual, repetitive processes into reliable, well-documented automation — supporting real measurable improvements across IT, operations and customer environments.
You’ll work closely with a Senior Automation Delivery Engineer and a junior/apprentice, giving you support, mentoring and plenty of room to grow.
The Role
As an Automation Delivery Engineer, you’ll build automations using modern workflow and orchestration tools (n8n, Power Automate, Logic Apps, Make, etc.), develop scripts in PowerShell and Python, integrate SaaS systems, and contribute to customer onboarding projects.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys technical problem-solving, connecting systems, building clean workflows, and making teams more efficient through automation.
Team Environment & Culture
You’ll join a dedicated Automation Delivery Team — not just a generalist IT team where automation is an add-on.
The team focuses on continuous improvement, sharing knowledge, and building reusable components that scale across customers.
Key Responsibilities
• Build and maintain workflows using modern automation/orchestration tools
• Integrate SaaS applications, identity systems, internal tools and the PSA
• Design clean workflows with clear logic, error handling and notifications
• Contribute to reusable components for multi-customer delivery
• Build Power Automate flows and simple Power Apps
• Develop Copilot / Copilot Studio automations where relevant
• Use PowerShell and Python to automate operational tasks and interact with APIs
• Work confidently with REST APIs and JSON
• Support customer implementation projects and PSA process automation
• Document automations and scripts for clear operational handover
• Identify automation opportunities and contribute to the team backlog
• Participate in demos, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement sessions
Role Requirements
• Hands-on experience building automations using workflow tools (n8n, Power Automate, UiPath, Zapier, Logic Apps, Make, etc.)
• Strong PowerShell skills + some Python (or vice-versa)
• Experience with REST APIs and JSON
• Exposure to ticketing/PSA/ITSM systems or device management tooling
• Ability to break down manual processes logically for automation
Nice to Have
• Microsoft Power Platform experience (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI)
• Experience with Copilot / Copilot Studio / LLM workflows
• Linux familiarity for automation runtimes
• Basic SQL knowledge
• Git or source control experience
• MSP or multi-customer background
