I’m currently working with a well-established and highly regarded civil and structural engineering consultancy that is looking to appoint a Senior/Principal Structural Technician into their growing London team.

The Role
As a Senior/Principal Structural Technician, you will take a lead role in the production and delivery of structural engineering drawings and BIM models across all project stages.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading the production of 2D & 3D structural drawings from concept through to construction
* Managing and maintaining BIM/Revit standards across projects
* Reviewing and coordinating technical drawings and models across disciplines
* Overseeing multiple BIM projects and supervising model production
* Supporting engineers with design development and technical detailing
* Mentoring and developing junior technicians
* Liaising with clients, architects, and other stakeholders
* Driving continuous improvement of digital processes and innovation
About You
To be considered, you should have:
* A minimum of 6 years’ experience in structural engineering or a related field
* Strong proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM processes
* Experience working on complex, multi-phase developments
* A detailed understanding of BIM standards (including BIM Level 2)
* Experience producing and reviewing detailed structural models and drawings
* Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate across disciplines
* Experience mentoring or supervising junior team members
Professional membership (e.g. EngTech, IEng, IStructE) and familiarity with ISO standards would be advantageous.
