Join to apply for the Senior Quantity Surveyor role at Dandara.
Our Eastern division is growing and, with 3 sites due to start imminently, we have a new vacancy for a Senior Quantity Surveyor in our rapidly expanding Eastern region. You’ll take a leading role in managing the commercial and financial performance of our housing developments across the Eastern Region. You’ll provide strategic cost management, oversee key subcontract packages, and support project delivery from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead preparation and management of site budgets, cost reports, and cost value reconciliations (CVRs).
* Oversee procurement, negotiation, and administration of major subcontract packages.
* Provide expert commercial guidance to site and project teams.
* Ensure robust cost control, accurate forecasting, and risk management.
* Mentor and support junior surveyors and commercial staff.
* Attend and contribute to project review and management meetings.
* Liaise with internal departments, consultants, and contractors to maintain programme and quality targets.
About You
* Proven experience as a Senior or experienced Quantity Surveyor within a recognised UK housebuilder.
* Strong commercial acumen and the ability to manage multiple projects independently.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
* Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive in driving performance.
