Business Development Manager – Fire Doors
Location
South South East Focus; the role requires the ability to reach London within 90 minutes.
Remuneration & Benefits
£50,000‑£60,000 base salary + £38,000 uncapped commission.

Role Overview
The role involves field sales of a manufactured range of fire doors, new business development, and growth of the area by £1.5 million. 60% of projects are social housing, 40% include education, healthcare, commercial, residential, and FM.
Key Responsibilities
* Sell directly to owners/MDs of building contractors, joinery contractors, and installers.
* Influence housing associations and social‑housing framework providers at a regional buyer, operational or compliance manager level.
* Grow the sales area by £1.5 million and achieve an average project size of £50,000.
* Follow up lapsed accounts and leads from Glenigan and Zoom Info.
* Visit client depots twice per month.
* Handle both new‑build and refurbishment projects.
Required Qualifications and Experience
* Field sales experience with housing associations, social‑housing providers, FM companies, education, healthcare, commercial or residential clients.
* Proven business‑hunter with experience selling into contractor/installer networks (Tier I not required).
* Specific knowledge of fire doors is not essential; general appreciation of passive fire protection is preferred.
* Strong team player, able to work autonomously.
