*The Role*
We’re looking for a Head of Product to lead and own our product and service portfolio, overseeing both New Product Development (NPD) and the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of existing offerings. The role will drive the delivery of commercially viable, real-world-ready solutions for the EV infrastructure market.
This is a senior leadership role, accountable for the overall performance, governance, and output of NPD. You will define direction, enforce standards, and make key investment decisions—ensuring only validated, commercially sound products progress through the pipeline.
You will lead and develop a team including Product & Innovation Project Managers &Designers, who are responsible for day-to-day development, while you retain ultimate accountability for outcomes, decisions, and delivery at pace.
*What You’ll Be Accountable For*
* Overall performance and output of the NPD Team
* Commercial viability of all products in development
* Final go / no-go decision-making at each stage
* A strong, prioritised pipeline of validated product opportunities
* Effective application of the ‘NPD Playbook’ and stage-gate controls
* Successful transition of products into operations
* Protection of intellectual property and confidential information
*What You’ll Do*
* Set product vision, innovation focus, and pipeline priorities
* Ensure all development is grounded in real customer needs and market demand
* Govern the full NPD lifecycle, in accordance with our NPD Playbook
* Review data, validation, and business cases to make investment decisions
* Where needed, liaise with our Operations Manager on supplier strategy and ensure solutions are manufacturable and scalable
* Drive pace across the function by removing blockers and enforcing accountability
* Lead, support, and challenge the NPD Team to deliver high-quality outputs
* Monitor performance through key metrics including time-to-market, pipeline value, and revenue contribution
*Your Team*
You will lead, direct and grow a Team of:
* *Product & Innovation Project Managers* – owns day-to-day project delivery, coordination, and progress tracking
* *Designers* – responsible for design development, prototyping, and product documentation
You are accountable for ensuring their outputs are:
* Accurate and complete
* Fully validated and tested
* Aligned with real-world application and commercial goals
*What We’re Looking For*
* Proven experience leading a NPD, product, or innovation functions at a senior level
* Strong track record of delivering commercially successful products
* Experience operating within structured, stage-gate development environments
* Ability to make clear, data-driven decisions under uncertainty
* Strong leadership skills with experience managing and directing technical teams
* Commercially focused, with a clear understanding of product viability and market fit
