Job overview Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is inviting applications for a full-time Consultant position with interest and expertise in obstetric scanning. We welcome candidates across the full spectrum of experience to join the team of 13 consultants sharing responsibility of the provision of comprehensive Obstetrics and Gynaecology services with a recent Maternity CQC rating of 'Good' (2023). The post holder has the opportunity to take on the role of Audit Lead and to chair the monthly perinatal morbidity and mortality meetings. support for leadership training and development will be provided to further develop the service. Detailed job description and main responsibilities The key clinical activities to be undertaken within this role are: · Elective day case theatre session · Labour ward / on call cover · Gynaecology Clinic · Antenatal clinic · Elective caesarean section list On-Call: The post is 1 in 11 on the consultant non-resident on-call rota, with an expectation to be available within 30 minutes of being called to attend. This includes the consultant being resident for evening cover and ward rounds during weekend on calls. No other activities are timetabled during on call.
