Job Description
SP, part of the ATS Group, is recruiting for a Material Logistics Coordinator to join their team in Ipswich.
With safety, quality, efficiency, and customer service as priorities, the Material Logistics Coordinator will be a critical part of the business. Using your import and export knowledge, you will facilitate the receiving, moving, and shipping of supplies, stock materials, and products. You will manage the flow of orders, requiring strong reliance on monitoring and coordination of delivery pickup and/or drop-off schedules. You will execute the logistics plan for both domestic and international projects, with an emphasis on controlling costs while meeting schedule, customer, and compliance requirements.
Understanding of Incoterms is necessary for international shipping. A proactive approach is required, working closely with the Production Team and Material Controls Team to manage, plan, and prioritize workloads.
Key Tasks
1. Receiving material into the facility and distributing it to the appropriate points of use.
2. Picking, packing, and dispatching customer orders.
3. Working in FIFO manner to ensure all jobs are processed sequentially.
4. Managing courier deliveries and collections, and tracking accordingly.
5. Maintaining good inventory accuracy with meticulous attention to detail.
6. Interfacing with worldwide customs, freight forwarders, and clearing agents.
7. Maintaining accurate stock levels and performing inventory counts where applicable.
8. Identifying, investigating, and processing inventory discrepancies.
9. Loading and unloading deliveries manually and via forklift truck operation.
10. Ensuring timely dispatch of sales orders to meet daily sales order backlog.
11. Updating data on spreadsheets required for import and export compliance.
12. Performing ad hoc tasks within a busy receiving and dispatch environment.
