Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for providing care and support to individual with special needs, Autism non verbal.
Duties
As a Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:
* Providing personal care
* Assisting with social activities like swimming
* Supporting individual with safety
* Engaging clients in meaningful activities that promote their physical and emotional well-being.
* Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in clients' conditions to the appropriate personnel.
* Assisting with heavy lifting when required, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
* Driving clients to appointments or social outings as needed.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
* Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or similar environments is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of patient care practices including hospice care and senior care principles.
* A background in nursing or caregiving is an advantage.
* Certification in first aid is preferred.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
* A valid driving licence is beneficial for transporting clients when necessary.
* A caring attitude towards individuals requiring support, with patience and empathy at the forefront of your approach.
