SEN / SEND Core Subject Teacher – 1:1 Tuition (Maths, English, or Science)

About the role
We are seeking passionate and experienced SEN / SEND Teachers to deliver personalised 1:1 tuition in Maths, English, or Science to children and young people with a variety of additional needs, including SEND, SEMH, MLD, and SLD. These sessions are designed to be holistic, trauma-informed, and engaging, helping to re-engage learners and improve both academic outcomes and personal development.

Key responsibilities
1. Plan and deliver tailored, high-quality lessons that meet the individual needs of each learner.
2. Provide a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment.
3. Maintain accurate session records and report on learner progress.
4. Use a flexible and creative approach to teaching, adapting strategies to meet varying learning styles and needs.
5. Promote safeguarding and wellbeing at all times.
Requirements
6. UK QTS / QTLS with at least 2 years’ teaching experience.
7. Proven experience working with children and young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other additional needs.
8. Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures.
9. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
10. Two professional references.
11. Right to work in the UK.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
