Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Site Financial Controller located in Warrington, UK.
Reporting to the Regional Finance Director, the Site Financial Controller as MT member of the site, advises management on financial performance, identifying trends and recommends cost saving or profit generating opportunities, risks and profitability improvement strategies.
What a typical day looks like:
1. The Site financial controller manages the finance department consisting of eleven (international) colleagues, with two direct reports (finance manager and the collection/AP manager). Reporting into the Regional Finance Director.
2. Responsible for 5 UK reporting entities including a dormant pension
3. As part of management team works closely with the General Manager
4. Establishes or recommends to management strategies, objectives and policies for company
5. Prepares reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses and earnings based on past, present and expected operations, including new business quote appraisals.
6. Follows up the work of Finance Team. Guides, supports them in order to develop their skills as their functional leader. Also work closely together with GBS, our global business service center in India.
7. Directs preparation of budgets, forecasts, and prepares necessary supporting documentation and justification
8. Evaluates complex profit plans, operating records and financial statements
9. Provides (program) management with timely reviews of organization's financial status and progress in its various programs and activities
10. Advises management on desirable operational adjustments, identifying trends and recommends improvements accordingly. Makes recommendations to management regarding cost saving or profit generating opportunities, risks and profitability improvement strategies
11. Analyzes financial information to determine present and future financial performance
12. Lead internal/external audits, align on corporate accounting policies and procedures, SOX-compliance, internal controls and prepare Tax reportings.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
13. BSc/MSc degree in finance or accounting or equivalent experience
14. Around 7-8 years of related experience
15. A background in manufacturing/cost accounting is preferred
16. ACCA, CIMA, US GAAP trainings preferred
17. Very good people management skills
18. Fluent and confident English
19. Eligible to work in the UK
