Why This Role is Exciting
This contract position offers a consistent 40-hour workweek with manageable caseloads of 40-50 students, primarily within one school building. This setup allows for continuity in care and collaboration with fellow educators. Depending on your availability, there may be some flexibility for shared time between two buildings to ensure comprehensive support for all students.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Provide individualized speech-language therapy services to elementary students with communication disorders.
* Conduct assessments, develop and implement tailored treatment plans, and monitor student progress.
* Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to foster student development.
* Maintain thorough documentation and adhere to all relevant regulations and policies.
* If you are a CFY candidate, you will work under the guidance of a CCC-certified mentor.
What We’re Looking For
* Valid SLP certification (CCC, CFY, or School credential).
* Experience working with elementary-aged students is preferred.
* Ability to effectively manage a caseload of 40-50 students.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* For CFY applicants, availability of a supervising CCC mentor is required.
Location
* Flint, Michigan, primarily within one school building to minimize travel time.
