Placement and durationThis 13 week internship, which is based in Glasgow and begins in June, offers you the opportunity to learn about a variety of product areas, while providing a clear understanding of how Institutional Securities Group (cISGconsisting of the Sales & Trading, Investment Banking, Global Capital Markets and Research Divisions) operates as a whole. Following an initial period of training and induction, you will spend the remainder of your placement within the ISG Financial Crimes Risk (cFCRteam. Interns are treated as full-time members of the team and work alongside experienced professionals at all levels.Training ProgramInterns participate in an orientation program covering the Firm's businesses, the transition from an academic setting to a corporate environment and the chance to establish a network throughout the Firm globally. Interns then attend divisional training where they learn the core skills required to be successful on the job. The FCR Team is considered the First Line of Defense and supports the onboarding and enhanced due diligence processes for Morgan Stanley.As anbusinessrisk management team, we partner with our ISG business stakeholders, as well as the infrastructure groups and 2nd line control functions to establish and maintain an effective risk management program that is appropriately tailored to ISGNon-Financial Risk profile. Our team has a global presence with members located in New York, London, Mumbai, Sao Paulo, Hong Kong and Glasgow.The team is seeking assistance regarding a broad range of internal, regulatory driven, and strategic initiatives related to financial crimes.Salary is competitive with excellent benefits.Qualifications\/ Skills\/ RequirementsYou possess strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills.You analyse and interpret complex information quickly and accurately.Collaborative and proactive mindset, with a commitment to continuous improvement.Study in a financial discipline is not essential, although you should have a strong aptitude for numbers.Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel and PowerPoint) would be desirable.You are able to start an internship in June for a period of 13 weeksMorgan Stanley is an equal opportunities employer.
