Job Description
As a Junior Product Developer, you’ll support end‑to‑end product development, working closely with the Senior Product Developer to ensure products meet high quality, performance, and design standards. This full‑time role is based at the Chesterfield office.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a close partnership with Design to develop collections from concept to finished product.
- Champion Varley quality standards and seek opportunities to elevate products.
- Support product specification building, ensuring accurate, up‑to‑date information.
- Review prototype samples against design specifications, recording measurements and noting workmanship, fit, and design amendments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- Request and track lab dips.
- Proactively follow‑up on sample delivery dates and maintain records.
- Oversee colour consistency through to bulk production.
- Conduct QC checks at the Leeds warehouse.
Experience and Skills
- Degree in Fashion Design, Technology or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in a product development or technical support role (e.g., work placements).
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills, able to collaborate with teams and external partners.
- Highly organised and detail‑oriented, able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
- A passion for the industry and awareness of competitors’ products.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
