Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Fellow Higher (ST6+) in Cardiology (Heart Failure).
This post is available from 16 April 2024 for 6 months in the first instance, with the possibility of extension.
Main duties of the job
This post has been created to provide subspecialty training in Adult Heart Failure. The aim is to provide the opportunity for the post-holder to fulfil the training objectives set out by the Joint Committee for Higher Medical Training and by Health Education England. The fellowship is aligned to the specialty CiPs in the Cardiology 2022 Curriculum and will provide the experience required to apply for a consultant position and to lead a service in Adult Heart Failure.
In order to be considered applicants must meet the following essential criteria;
1. MRCP
2. Completion of Specialty Registrar or equivalent training to ST6 level, having passed the associated competencies
Please note that these posts do not carry Postgraduate Dean’s approval or training recognition.
Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at time of application is required.
Working for your organisation
The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC’s Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
