About You
You're a technically capable leader who thrives on both machinery and people management. You're passionate about operational excellence and enjoy coaching teams in a busy bakery or food manufacturing environment. You take pride in keeping production lines running efficiently, developing high-performing teams, and embedding best practices across shifts.
What we are looking for:
Proven experience in shift-based environments and managing shifts
Strong engagement, communication, and people management skills
Ability to manage long-service team members while introducing new practices
Awareness of HACCP, IOSH, and food safety standards (training provided)
Experience driving continuous improvement and operational excellence
Knowledge of Food Manufacturing or FMCGAbout the Role
As Day Area Manager, you'll lead critical production lines, ensuring machinery reliability while developing and supporting a team of 25+. You'll coordinate across departments and manage internal and external stakeholders to deliver operational excellence.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading daily operations on creams and bakery production lines
Managing machinery breakdowns and repairs (creamers, ZDIs, etc.)
Leading, coaching, and developing a team of 25+ colleagues
Engaging with Hygiene, NPD, and other departments to ensure smooth operations
Driving continuous improvement and embedding operational best practices
Ensuring compliance with HACCP, IOSH, and food safety standards
