About you



You will have a solid background in sport coaching science and performance analysis, and have experience in the delivery of high-quality teaching and assessment materials. A PhD qualification (or being close to completion) is desirable, whilst experience of teaching and effective use of digital learning technologies in HE, is essential. Furthermore, you will hold a professional body coaching qualification and be proficient in the use of performance analysis software (e.g. SportsCode, NacSport).

The successful candidate will be ICT literate and have experience in leading modules and programmes in HE settings. A track record of effective partnership working to develop scholarship and employability opportunities in community and performance sport settings would be highly advantageous.

You will be highly disciplined, organised, supportive, and able to work collegiately within a team. The ability to produce research publications, successful grant applications, and/or generate commercial income, would be welcomed.

Qualifications

Essential:

1. Degree qualification or equivalent in relevant subject
2. Master’s degree in relevant subject
3. Professional Recognition as HEA Fellow (D2) or teaching qualification recognised by HESA, or willingness to obtain within an agreed timescale

Desirable:

4. Doctorate in relevant subject, completed or within 12 months of completion
5. Working towards or holding a professional body qualification
