We are seeking an IT Support Team Leader to join our existing workforce. This role involves delivering fast and effective support to the resort’s various user bases across multiple sites within the Flamingo Land Group. You will be a key escalation point for 2nd/3rd line technical issues and ensure all 1st line activities are completed by the on-site team. This position offers an exciting, challenging, and often physical role for those looking to advance into a 2nd or 3rd line or leadership position.
The successful candidate will participate in planning and reviewing ongoing projects and system installations of various IT & EPOS hardware and software, with a focus on introducing automation to reduce response times. You will also ensure the security needs of the business are met, with a good understanding of data protection and GDPR principles in an IT support context.

Essential Skills/Knowledge
* Good understanding of IT & network security best practices
* Able to identify and escalate potential security threats in line with department procedures
* Working knowledge of patch and vulnerability management
* Excellent support experience with Windows 10 and above
* Windows Server (2016 and above) administration and maintenance
* Active Directory and group policy experience
* Experience supporting IT hardware including Servers, Desktops, Laptops, etc.
* Knowledge of network communication protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS & DHCP
* Experience working with WAN, LAN, and wireless environments
* Strong technical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
* Ability to scope, build, install, and upgrade IT/EPOS hardware and software
Desirable Skills/Knowledge or willingness to develop
* Hyper-V & Failover Cluster environments
* Endpoint protection tools, firewalls, antivirus/SIEM/EDR solutions
* Knowledge of SAN technologies
* SQL Server & T-SQL understanding
* Linux server administration
* Experience with resort management tools
* Knowledge of Google Workspace environment
Day-to-day duties
Lead a team of on-site support technicians, serve as an escalation point for technical support, and work closely with the IT management team to drive improvements. You will handle hardware and software diagnostics, resolve technical issues, and manage incidents through to resolution or escalation, including administrative tasks like ticketing and data management.
