Who You Are As a Senior Support Worker at the Adolescent Resource Centre (ARC), you are creative and flexible in your approach to working with young people and their families. You take a strengths-based, person-centred approach to support. You have a Diploma in Health and Social Care or an equivalent qualification in teaching, nursing, or youth work. You also have experience working with adolescents and families during times of need, along with supervisory or mentoring experience. Your ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, is essential. What the Job Involves Within the Regional Edge of Care Service, you will be part of an experienced team providing flexible and responsive care packages, including respite, intervention, outreach, and family support. You will work with young people across the Cardiff and Vale of Glamorgan region, in community settings, their homes, and our centers, to deliver positive outcomes. You will deliver structured, evidence-based interventions to help families develop problem-solving skills, build resilience, and achieve positive change. You will also provide a rapid response to children and families in crisis, helping them address and overcome difficulties to prevent family breakdown and further escalation.
