Air Conditioning Engineer\nLocation: Northampton, Bedford\nSalary: Up to £42,000 (Door-to-Door Pay)\nContract Type: Full-time, Permanent\nWorking Hours: 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday (Flexible Start/Finish Times)\nCall-Out Rota: 1 in 4 (Overtime paid at 1.5x rate)\n\nAbout the Role\nWe are seeking an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to support a long-standing key accounts contract in the East Midlands. This mobile role covers a portfolio of commercial sites for a major client, providing both planned and reactive maintenance of air conditioning and HVAC systems.\nThis is a stable, long-term opportunity offering door-to-door pay, a fully equipped van (with private use), and a pathway for technical development and progression.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on a range of air conditioning and HVAC equipment\n\n * Diagnose and repair faults on systems including splits, multi-splits, VRVs/VRFs, and chillers\n\n * Support small works and minor installation projects as required\n\n * Ensure compliance with client-specific service level agreements (SLAs)\n\n * Deliver a professional, high-quality, client-facing service across multiple sites\n\n * Work safely and in accordance with all Health & Safety standards\n\n * Participate in a 1 in 4 call-out rota, providing swift response to urgent issues\n\nQualifications & Experience\nEssential:\n\n * NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration\n\n * F-Gas certification (Category 1)\n\n * Proven experience in commercial HVAC maintenance\n\n * Ability to work independently and manage a mobile workload\n\n * Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills\n\n * Excellent communication and customer service abilities\n\n * Full UK driving licence\n\nDesirable:\n\n * Familiarity with leading HVAC brands and BMS-connected systems\n\n * Experience working on CO2 and hydrocarbon systems (training can be provided)\n\nWhat We Offer\n\n * Salary: Up to £42,000 per year with door-to-door pay\n\n * Working Hours: 45 hours per week with flexible scheduling\n\n * Call-Out Pay: Overtime paid at 1.5x rate\n\n * Vehicle: Company van and fuel card (private use allowed)\n\n * Tools: All specialist tools provided\n\n * Holiday: 30 days including bank holidays (rising to 33 with service)\n\n * Pension: 4.6% matched contribution\n\n * Training & Progression: Regular technical training and clear advancement pathways\n\n * Job Stability: Work with established key accounts and long-term client relationships\n\nGet in touch with Jacob from HVAC for more info
