Overview
Senior Care Worker (Florence Shipley) role at Derbyshire County Council. We are looking to appoint a Senior Care Worker to join our team here at Florence Shipley Community Care Centre. The successful applicant will work alongside care staff and provide leadership and mentoring support to them whilst delivering all aspects of personal care. The following responsibilities include allocating day-to-day tasks within the care team, administering medication and personal service planning with an emphasis on person-centred care, under the direction of the Unit and Deputy Unit Managers. You will promote good practice and deliver high quality care and support to residents with a range of care and support needs.
Responsibilities
* Lead and mentor care staff; allocate day-to-day tasks within the care team.
* Administer medication and develop personal service plans with an emphasis on person-centred care under the direction of Unit and Deputy Unit Managers.
* Promote good practice and deliver high quality care and support to residents with a range of care and support needs.
* Ensure effective communication; deliver quality handovers for each shift.
* Provide support and guidance appropriate to the grade as one of the senior persons on duty.
* Participate in training provided appropriate to the level of the post.
Qualifications
* QCF Level 2 Health and Social Care (essential).
* Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
* Ability to work flexible hours within a three-shift pattern (days, afternoons, nights).
Working pattern and benefits
Working hours are flexible based on a three-shift pattern. The role includes unsocial hours, weekends and Bank Holidays.
