We have a real focus on improving the health and wellbeing outcomes of people working in horticulture and have an ambitious preventative strategy to create better futures for people working in horticulture.
We are currently seeking a Service Development Manager to join us on a permanent, full-time basis.

The Role
As a Service Development Manager, you will design and deliver a long-term integrated strategy for our services across Wales.
Working closely with Heads of Service and external partners, you will devise effective interventions that are grounded in evidence and research, our strategic priorities, our budget and the needs of the horticulturalists we support.
You will enhance the quality of our services across Wales, working with key stakeholders and developing new channels of support to ensure we can provide the most effective services we can.
Additionally, you will:
- Analyse and understand the needs of people working in the horticulture sector
- Maintain a caseload of service users
- Develop effective partnerships, networks and joint working arrangements
- Recruit, train and manage volunteers
About You
To be considered as a Service Development Manager, you will need:
- Experience leading service development and overseeing successful implementation
- Experience co-producing flexible and responsive services at scale
- Experience developing and implementing new advice and information services
- Project management experience
- Experience understanding regional service needs and using research information and reliable data
- Experience undertaking research to support strategic development
- Experience recruiting, training and managing volunteer teams
- Knowledge of the health, housing, social care and welfare strategies across Wales
- Knowledge of safeguarding practices and procedures
Please note, this role requires some weekend working, travel and overnight stays.
