We are seeking a qualified Finance professional to join the Senior Leadership Team at our Westhoughton manufacturing site, where you will take the lead on delivering accurate and timely financial informaiton to enable data driven decision making.
Working with the Plant Manager, you will help lead the improvement and delivery of the sites financial performance, as well as assisting in strategic planning, site forecasting and providing financial insight into business cases.
This position leads a small onsite Finance team of two (1x Management Accountant and 1x Finance Analyst) and is responsible for the costs of two sites and two product groups (approx. £35m pa). This role reports centrally to the FP&A Site Manager and will work closely with colleagues from other sites as part of the wider De La Rue Finance team.
Key Responsibilities
Analyse the financial and non-financial data to drive insight on performance and influence the site process managers to make performance improvements.
Prepare budgets / Forecasts by product, including Volumes, Manufacturing standards, Factory Variances, Factory fixed costs, and Capex / Inventory. Challenging site to improve performance and reduce costs at all stages.
Responsible for site period reporting, analysing and explaining variances to budget / forecast.
Site Business Partnering.
FX Forecasting.
Tracking of headcount against budget.
Primary point of contact for external / internal financial auditors.
Improve closed job analysis information and provide to FP&A Site Manager in a timely manner.
Experience & Skills
Experience of accounting in a manufacturing environment is essential.
Previous experience working as part of a manufacturing management / leadership team highly advantageous.
Previous experience of working with ERP / Finance Systems (SAP BYD experience desirable).
Experience of managing financials for Capex projects.
Management accounts experience (Balance sheet, inventory valuation, fixed assets etc).
Excellent Cost Accounting knowledge and experience (using standard costs / cost models).
Proven track record of business improvement and managing change.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven influencing and collaborative skills.
Team management / leadership experience.
