Position: CNC Setter/Programmer
Location: Plymouth
Salary: £15 - £20 per hour (Plus Overtime and Career Progression Opportunities)
Our client, a leading manufacturer based in Plymouth, specialises in precision-engineered products made from ferrous and non-ferrous metals. These high-tolerance, safety-critical components are used in environments such as Marine, Nuclear, Renewable Energy, and Oil & Gas.
They operate from a large, clean, and well-organised facility prioritising safety and precision. Due to strong demand, they are expanding their team by recruiting enthusiastic CNC Setters/Programmers.
Key Responsibilities
1. Set up, program, and operate CNC machining centres or turning centres with precision and efficiency.
2. Work with Fanuc or Siemens controls to produce components to exact tolerances, adhering to engineering drawings.
3. Perform checks on manufactured components using precision measuring equipment to ensure specifications are met.
4. Contribute to the production of safety-critical parts, ensuring high quality and accuracy.
5. Collaborate with team members and departments to optimise manufacturing processes.
6. Engage in training on the latest CNC technologies and CAM software.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have significant experience with CNC setting or operating, especially with Fanuc or Siemens controls. Ability to work to close tolerances and interpret engineering drawings is essential. CAM software experience is a plus but not required, as comprehensive training is provided.
