Graduate Civil Engineer
The company
This company is a well-established main contractor and a leading international civil engineering company, specialising in complex market segments such as Transportation, Energy, Tunnelling, Building, Civil and Structural Engineering.
The role
They are looking to expand their Technical Services team with a skilled and enthusiastic Civil Engineering Graduate to be based in their Head Office in Swindon, Wiltshire.
Please note that this is a full-time office-based role and will be working from our Swindon Head Office 5 days a week. The ability to travel to sites UK wide would be an advantage for this position.
The role will require you to provide engineering and quality control for construction works including maintaining appropriate records while supporting and assisting others as required ensuring the project site remains compliant with requirements in all aspects.
You will be required to work in collaboration with the Project Team, including subcontractors, to ensure compliance with all legal, company and project health, safety and environmental requirements.
You will also maintain appropriate and accurate site diaries / records of works progress, changes, resources and issues, including works by subcontractors, to ensure all aspects of the work are correctly recorded for later use by others.
About you
It is essential that you are a recent Civil Engineering Graduate with a minimum of 2 years design of below ground structures, foundations or temporary structures.
You must have working knowledge of 2D/3D cad system and design software.
A general engineering background and ICT skills sufficient to develop applications is beneficial for this role. Site or office-based work experience with a contractor would be beneficial, along with Geology / mining / quarrying course module(s) or experience.
