Job Purpose
The Operations Manager is responsible for the operational leadership, guidance, and direction of the Muirhead facility. The position requires planning, directing, and coordinating the execution of repair and overhaul work. The role also involves formulating policies, managing daily operational activities, and coordinating the use of materials and human resources to maximize productivity. Additionally, the Operations Manager will identify needs, reduce costs, and analyze areas for continuous improvement.

* Ensure organizational structure, talent, resources, and capabilities meet customer expectations and turnaround times
* Establish strategies, objectives, budgets, and requirements to support customer needs
* Create and implement a lean roadmap to elevate operations to world-class standards
* Maintain control over quality, quantity, costs, revenue recognition, and timeliness of materials
* Manage expenses within approved budgets
* Meet or exceed objectives in sales, profit, turnaround time, employee effectiveness, and safety
* Support business strategy development and implementation
* Participate in sales activities, including setting pricing and analyzing customer demands
* Ensure customer requirements are met, optimizing product value and delivery
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives with metrics and tools
* Provide feedback on talent needs and organizational capabilities
* Manage people from hiring to disciplinary actions
* Develop and cross-train technical staff
* Coordinate and present performance reports to customers
Experience
* Proven success as a hands-on operations management leader with 8-10+ years of experience
* Experience in MRO/production/manufacturing, preferably in aerospace or related industries
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
* Extensive knowledge of lean operations and continuous improvement practices
* Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
* Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills
* Knowledge of software such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, Oracle, etc.
Qualifications & Competencies
* Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, technical, or business field required
* Master’s Degree or MBA preferred

* External: Regulatory bodies, customers, suppliers, and corporate office
