Digital Verification Engineer – 6-Month Contract
Remote / Occasional Travel to Oxford HQ | £600pd PAYE
We are seeking an experienced Digital Verification Engineer to lead the verification of a large mixed-signal ASIC as part of a short-term design project.
This 6-month contract role is dedicated to digital functional verification of an existing design nearing completion. You’ll bring strong hands-on expertise in testbench development, simulation, and debugging, working in a fast-paced environment with occasional travel to our Oxford headquarters.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Creating and executing comprehensive verification plans, using methodologies such as constrained random and formal verification.
* Developing and maintaining verification infrastructure including testbenches, test cases, and verification components.
* Writing and executing test cases to validate RTL functionality.
* Collaborating closely with RTL designers to quickly identify, root-cause, and resolve issues.
* Running and maintaining regressions, providing regular results and progress reports.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Experience & Skills
* 5+ years’ hands-on experience in digital ASIC verification.
* Strong proficiency in SystemVerilog and UVM for functional verification.
* Solid understanding of digital logic, RTL design, and verification principles.
* Experience with industry-standard simulation tools (preferably Cadence Xcelium).
* Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Bash for automation and workflow optimisation.
* Highly detail-oriented, adaptable, and effective in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to document work clearly and accurately.
* Self-motivated, capable of working independently and meeting tight deadlines.
Desirable
* Experience verifying the digital components of large mixed-signal ASICs.
