Buyer Opportunity Role: Senior Buyer Location: West Midlands Company: UK Leading Housebuilder Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 DOE Buyer Opportunity We are working with a leading national housebuilder - one of the largest in the UK - delivering high-quality new-build homes and mixed communities across the country. As a Senior Buyer, you will play a key part within the regional commercial team, taking ownership of material procurement, ensuring consistent cost control, and supporting the delivery of sites on time and to budget. As a Buyer, you will take responsibility for: Managing the procurement of materials and services across multiple housing developments Preparing accurate material take-offs from technical drawings and issuing timely purchase orders Negotiating prices, agreements and terms with suppliers to ensure best value for the region Monitoring budgets, forecasts and cost movements, ensuring procurement remains aligned with build programmes Working closely with site teams to address material queries, delivery issues and programme changes Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across procurement and stock management processes Maintaining strong supplier relationships and ensuring consistent performance across all developments Managing procurement schedules, ensuring materials are delivered on time and in line with build stages Visiting sites when required to support commercial and operational teams Buyer Requirements: Demonstrated purchasing experience within the residential construction or housebuilding sector Strong commercial judgement with proven negotiation capability Experience using COINS, Sage X3, or similar ERP/procurement systems Knowledge of SIOP, materials planning, or inventory management processes Ability to produce, update, and distribute KPI reports Excellent communication skills and the confidence to liaise with internal teams and suppliers Full UK driving licence to visit sites when required What is on Offer?
