Maintenance Technician - MultiskilledExeter | £45,000 - £48,000 | Permanent | 3-shift rotation

Butler Rose is proud to be working in partnership with a well-established and highly regarded manufacturing business in Exeter, who are seeking to appoint a Multiskilled Maintenance Technician to join their Alloy Maintenance Department. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity working a rotating three-shift pattern.
Shift pattern (alternating weekly):
* Week 1: 06:00 - 14:00
* Week 2: 14:00 - 22:00
* Week 3: 22:00 - 06:00
Hours per week: 37.5
This is a fantastic opportunity for a time-served Maintenance Technician to join a forward-thinking team and play a key role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of essential plant and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Rapidly troubleshoot breakdowns and implement measures to prevent repeat occurrences.
* Interpret electrical and mechanical drawings to carry out fault finding and system modifications.
* Execute planned and preventative maintenance using a Maintenance Management System.
* Contribute to reliability improvement initiatives across the site.
* Maintain high EHS standards, keeping the work area clean, safe and compliant.
* Continuously develop skills through ongoing training and development.
* Undertake both electrical and mechanical tasks including fabrication, welding, and minor installations.
Essential Requirements:
* Completed a time-served apprenticeship with a minimum Level 3 qualification (BTEC, City & Guilds or equivalent).
* Recent hands-on experience in a multiskilled maintenance role, with strong skills across electrical, pneumatic/hydraulic systems, fabrication, and welding.
* Competent in interpreting technical diagrams and fault-finding on control panels.
* Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces (medical assessment required).
* Confident using computers and familiar with standard office software.
* Proactive and resilient with strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
* Capable of working independently while contributing effectively within a shift team.
Desirable: Experience in vacuum technology, though not essential.
