This an exciting opportunity to join Runnymede Borough Council as we continue our positive work tackling environmental crime and promoting cleaner, safer communities.
As the Environmental Enforcement Officer, you will:
* Investigate reports of fly tipping, poorly presented domestic waste, littering, dog fouling, and abandoned vehicles.
* Liaise with internal teams, external agencies and contractors
* Support air quality monitoring

About You
We are looking for a confident and resilient individual to join our team who can provide effective enforcement and public engagement on environmental issues. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a varied, community-facing position and is committed to improving the local environment.
We are seeking candidates with a range of skills, including:
* Full UK driving licence
* Strong IT and communication skills
* Experience dealing with the public, particularly in challenging situations
Knowledge of environmental crime legislation and previous public service regulatory experience is desirable but not essential.
