The Job:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a motivated and commercially focused Area Sales Manager to join a forward thinking and innovative packaging solutions provider. This is a hands on, field-based role where you’ll be responsible for managing existing customer relationships, identifying and securing new business opportunities and delivering tailored, sustainable packaging solutions across a range of sectors. You’ll play a key part in driving business growth across the North West region, combining a strategic mindset with a practical, customer-first approach.
Key Responsibilities:
 * Manage and develop long term relationships with new and existing customers
 * Identify, pursue and win new business opportunities in line with company objectives
 * Understand customer requirements and deliver innovative, value adding packaging solutions
 * Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to ensure seamless project delivery
 * Track market trends, competitor activity and customer needs to inform strategy
 * Deliver accurate sales forecasts, budgets and performance reports
 * Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events

The Candidate:
 * Proven track record in B2B sales — ideally within packaging, FMCG, agricultural or industrial sectors
 * Strong commercial acumen and ability to identify and convert new opportunities
 * Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
 * Consultative and customer centric approach
 * Self-motivated, organised and able to work independently
 * Comfortable travelling regularly across the region
Desirable:
 * Experience with packaging or related technical products
 * Strong analytical mindset and ability to interpret data and trends
 * Collaborative, team focused approach
