Join Our Team as an Asphalt Plant Operative
Location: Bradford
Salary:£13.28 – £13.52 per hour (Dependent on Experience)
Requires a full driving licence
About the Role
Are you ready to take control of the heart of our operations? As an Asphalt Plant Operator, you’ll play a vital role in producing high-quality materials that keep our infrastructure moving. You’ll be responsible for operating, inspecting, and maintaining our asphalt plant, ensuring smooth production aligned with customer needs and plant capabilities.
This is a hands-on role where safety, precision, and efficiency are key. From planning daily production to managing start-up and shut-down procedures, you’ll be at the forefront of our site’s success.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate static and mobile plant machinery safely and efficiently
* Conduct daily inspections and maintain accurate records
* Perform maintenance and minor repairs within your competence
* Refuel and clean machinery in line with manufacturer and company standards
* Use Front-End Loaders and dumpers for material movement
* Report defects and near misses to site management
* Support energy-efficient operations and uphold site safety standards
* Travel to nearby sites may be required (allowances provided if applicable)
What We’re Looking For
* Solid understanding of health & safety and quarry regulations
* EPIC certification for mobile plant operation
* NVQ Level 2 in Mobile Plant Operations (post-EPIC completion)
* Strong timekeeping and attention to detail
* A proactive attitude and commitment to safe working practices
