We are recruiting for a Portfolio Delivery Manager within Digital & IT Technology Platforms team, Infrastructure Services Tower, to support the growing demand for significant, transformational, IT change across our Compute & Storage estate. The role is a senior management permanent position, based in Derby, reporting to the VP of Infrastructure Services.
The role requires experience of planning, mobilising and delivering complex programmes in challenging technical and business environments, with significant focus on commercial management and reporting. You will demonstrate knowledge of a variety of compute and hosting technologies (both traditional infrastructure/on prem and cloud), having delivered change using a range of appropriate delivery methodologies, as well as being a strong communicator and leader - providing programme governance, line management, financial and programme planning and senior stakeholder management.
What you will be doing:
As the Portfolio Delivery Manager, you will be expected to Lead and manage delivery of multiple projects effectively to ensure that they meet all scope, time, budget and quality expectations through planning and control. You will work with and communicate technical data, and manage relationships with senior stakeholders.
* Plan, mobilise and deliver complex programmes in challenging technical and business environments, using appropriate standards, methods and tools.
* Leadership in a global business environment, managing distributed teams of in house, outsourced and supplier resources.
* Accountable for the detailed financial and project/programme status reporting to senior management.
* Absorb complex information and communicate effectively at all levels, to both technical and non-technical audiences, with ability to manage conflict resolution.
* Manage shifting prioritisations.

* Programme leadership
* Presentation of programme data to senior leadership
* Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
* Ownership of the towers high level delivery 'plan on a page'.
* Escalation and conflict management with senior stakeholders both internally and with any Supply Chain Supplier/Vendors at a Tower level
