Wraparound and Childcare Programme Co-ordinator, Rochdale
Job Description
Please be aware this is a Long Term Temporary post to start ASAP.
* Implement the wraparound and childcare programme across Rochdale, ensuring provision is sustainable and meets the needs of working parents.
* Collaborate with partners and teams across the borough.
* Review and update mapping of current wraparound and childcare provision.
* Lead consultations with children, parents, carers, providers, and partners about demand and feedback.
* Provide business planning and marketing advice to early years childcare providers and schools to develop and sustain childcare services.
* Work with finance teams and providers on funding applications and business plans to support high-quality, sustainable provision.
* Monitor, advise, support, and challenge providers to maintain high standards and report poor practices appropriately.
* Identify and share best practice models; engage with providers to secure quality and regulatory compliance.
* Develop cross-sector provider networks and support their effectiveness.
* Collaborate with local authority colleagues, schools, and external agencies to ensure integrated support for children and families.
* Communicate the wraparound offer to parents, families, providers, and agencies through existing channels.
* Monitor and report on service uptake, availability, supply, and demand; work with the DfE to provide accurate data for programme evaluation.
* Maintain records, produce reports, and escalate risks to performance or implementation as needed.
* Address safeguarding concerns related to children's welfare promptly and appropriately.
Secondary Duties
* Undertake additional duties as determined by the Head of Service or their representative, in consultation with the post holder and trade union if applicable.
* Participate in in-service training programmes, including training delivery if required.
* Assess supply and demand for wraparound childcare, including for children with SEND, in collaboration with local authority, schools, families, and providers.
You must have:
* A degree or relevant qualification for the role.
* References covering the last 5 years of employment.
