We currently have a vacancy for a PFI General Manager to join our Asset Operations team at Kajima Partnerships Ltd.
The role suits an astute, people-focused candidate with a genuine enjoyment of team working and problem solving in complex environments. Our Asset Managers sit on the SPV board as statutory directors. Candidates should have an excellent eye for detail, report writing skills, and be confident in sharing and presenting information. The role is home-based with some travel to asset sites, ideally in the Nottingham/Leicester/Peterborough area.
Main responsibilities include:
1. Ensuring Kajima Partnerships Limited meets its obligations under its Management Services Agreement with the Project Company, and addressing any non-compliance issues.
2. Ensuring delivery and compliance with all obligations of the Project Agreement, Project finance documents, and related contracts.
3. Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of the Project Agreement and related documents.
4. Effective liaison with the Board and Funders as required by the agreements.
5. Managing Board meetings and proceedings in conjunction with the Company Secretary.
6. Overseeing commercial and financial management of projects.
7. Operational management of projects.
8. Service performance management.
9. Taking on commercial responsibilities and serving as a board Director for the Project Co.
Candidate requirements include:
1. Experience working with complex Project Agreements in PFI projects or similar environments.
2. Understanding of PFI funding and contractual structures.
3. Ability to manage relationships with stakeholders, including Project Company Boards, funders, subcontractors, and public sector bodies.
4. Experience in managing performance monitoring regimes for FM services.
5. Experience working with detailed legal and contractual documents and ensuring compliance.
6. Providing advice on risk management matters.
7. Implementing and monitoring systems for contractual compliance.
8. Analyzing complex information for risk assessment.
9. Managing disputes to minimize project risk.
10. Applying value-for-money principles to project lifecycle expenditure.
11. Reporting key information in a timely manner.
12. Leadership and team management skills.
13. Identifying and pursuing business development opportunities.
14. Building strong stakeholder relationships.
