About the role
* Reporting to the Factory Manager, you will be responsible for three core areas of the factory.
* Responsible for production schedules being met efficiently, ensuring safety and quality standards are maintained.
* Driving a positive, safe and high‑performing workplace culture.
* Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
o Supervise and coordinate daily workflow across assembly, machine operations and fabrication teams.
o Ensure production targets and quality standards are met in line with production schedules.
o Lead, train, and support team members while promoting a strong safety culture.
o Monitoring efficiency, equipment utilisation, and material flow to minimise downtime.
o Support process improvements through lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
o Effective communication with management.
About you
* You will share a passion for our purpose and be aligned to our core values; better together, be accountable, people matter and think bigger.
* Proven experience in a factory or production team leader/supervisor role (steel manufacturing highly regarded).
* Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.
* Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, WHS practices and quality control.
* Effective problem‑solving, critical thinking and decision‑making under time constraints.
* Strong communication, people management and interpersonal skills.
* Understanding of the lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
* Tertiary degree in Engineering or related field is not essential, but highly desirable.
