General Description
As Project Manager you will be responsible for overseeing regional operations and financial performance to achieve business plan goals approved by the General Manager. Ensuring compliance with all legal requirements is also a critical aspect of the role.
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
• Develop and recommend a sustainable operations strategy (1-year timescale) to the Line Manager, addressing current and future operational needs.
• Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of all projects post contract-win.
• Serve as the primary contact for all site operation related aspects, including subcontract closeout with contractors and clients.
• Facilitate contract closures advantageous to the organization by providing technical and practical judgment throughout project lifecycles.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to mitigate project risks associated with contracts, documentation, and execution.
• Identify and address operational issues and opportunities, escalating critical matters to the General Manager or Line Manager for resolution.
• Act as the key representative of the company to clients, subcontractors, staff, and other stakeholders, maintaining positive working relationships at all levels.
• Assist the GM in establishing budgetary controls and key performance indicators to safeguard financial and operational health.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and uphold prescribed project standards, including QHSE standards.
• Collaborate with HR, GM, and Line Manager to develop a 6-month rolling manpower plan and ensure optimal staffing for all projects.
• Provide direction and set objectives for team members, supporting their development plans.
• Submit weekly project status reports to the LM/GM, recommending improvements and efficiencies.
• Accountable for managing all material movements using the RM system, from delivery to collection.

Qualification Requirements:
• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent; additional studies in surveying/engineering or MRICS certification preferred.
• Minimum 8+ years of relevant work experience.
• At least 3 years in a managerial position.
• Extensive knowledge in groundwater control, including strategic planning and forward-focused negotiation (minimum 1+ year).
• Strong financial acumen and political astuteness.
• Ability to prioritize effectively, delegate, and invest in people and systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent team collaboration and communication skills, capable of influencing consensus among diverse stakeholders.
